Supported Internships

Interns at Parliamentary Reception for National Supported Internships Day 2024

Project Search Supported Interns from Kings College Hospital visiting a Parliamentary Reception, National Supported Internships Day 2024

The DFN Project SEARCH programme provides real work experience combined with training in employability and independent living skills delivered in a business setting to help young people make successful transitions to productive adult life.

It is a partnership between a host business, education provider, and professional adult supported employment provider. The goal is to provide a full-time work placement for our interns in an integrated setting.

Silent Hands

The Silent Hands Project, in collaboration with KataKata Café and Lambeth Made, supports young d/Deaf residents by providing paid work experience in a café setting.

Candidates will receive coaching in areas such as barista training, food prep, customer service, and floristry. The project aims to support the unique skills of each individual, leading them to secure permanent sustainable employment.

Partnering with KataKata Cafe renowned for its delicious vegan cuisines, this initiative celebrates diversity while nurturing the talent and skills of d/Deaf Lambeth residents.
